wanderers and wolves - demo

My favorite local (Chico) band right now. I’m obsessed with this song. Even better live…and they just happen to have an EP release show TONIGHT at 1078 Gallery.

♩ Wanderers and Wolves – Fear and Framing [from Late Night Sessions Demo]

wye oak - shriek

I wouldn’t necessarily pin down Wye Oak as dream pop, but it’s hard not to when they release something like this. Between the hauntingly, beautiful melody and vocals, along with some fantastic keys, the title track from Shriek is easily one of the best dream pop tracks of 2014. This is one of those tracks you get lost in.

♩ Wye Oak – Shriek [from Shriek]

painted_palms_forever

I first heard this track live back in 2012. I’ve impatiently waited for a proper release and I couldn’t be more pleased.

♩ Painted Palms – Angels [from Forever] (an acoustic version begins at the 3:27 mark in the video below)

jack-white-lazaretto

Jack. Freakin’. White. Enough said.

♩ Jack White – Lazaretto [from Lazaretto]
